Executive Team
First and foremost, NTS understands what its customers need, including the deep requirements for next-generation technologies. Our team consists of veteran technology engineers, solutions architects, and managers with decades of working knowledge and experience with the Federal Government and Commercial Corporations.
Biney, who assumed the role of Chief Executive Office in 2016, has been managing large IT programs and projects for government and commercial organizations for more than two decades. With deep exposure to data center transformation – including many nights spent sleeping on cots to ensure that key data centers were performing as required – he began applying the lessons from his on-the-ground experience to the strategic side of operations in 2002, seeking opportunities for growth and innovation for clients.
After serving 22 years in the U.S. Air Force and surviving five war zone deployments, Dan Kunkel co-founded the company in 2013 and currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of NexTech Solutions responsible for the day-to-day operations and general management of the company. In this role, Dan is continually focused on operational improvements of the entire company as well as the allocations of people and resources. Under his management, NTS has consistently achieved year-over-year revenue, profitability, and customer growth.
Duane Burpoe is NexTech Solutions Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) who works with clients to develop IT strategies to optimize their mission. After spending over a decade providing solutions to enhance DoD capabilities, he understands the consultative sales approach needed to build the trust of customers and partners to deliver lasting capabilities. Duane has helped organizations win very large contracts within the Federal Government to enable continued growth in sales and services revenue year after year. He holds a BBA in Computer Information Systems from James Madison University.
Kris is a recognized leader who is accustomed to handling simultaneous, high-pressure situations in a professional and effective manner. He has a rich background in technology and is a 21-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Kris serves as the Executive Vice President of Business Development at NexTech Solutions and is responsible for business development, strategy, and innovation for the company. In this role, Kris helps define and refine the overall business strategy, identifies trendsetter technologies, and ensures the NTS portfolio is aligned with the overall strategy of the company.
